WICSA 2008, the Working IEEE/IFIP Conference on Software Architecture, starts in just over a week and they're keen to get more local developers involved.
I've been talking to the organizers and I've discovered that we can register separately for the main conference, the tutorials, and the workshops. This isn't clear from the website (
http://www.wicsa.net/) so I wanted to share this with you while there's still time to register.
Of particular interest are the tutorial sessions running on the Monday and Friday (see
http://www.iso-architecture.org/wicsa2008/tutorials.html).
The workshops are also open to us separate from the main conference however they are really aimed at software architecture specialists who are attending the conference.
The conference chair, Philippe Kruchten, will be giving a presentation at our March meeting. We should get details on that presentation just as soon as he can take a break from the conference details.
BTW, I've signed up for tutorials on both Monday the 18th and Friday the 22nd. I hope to see you there.
Take care.
