The purpose of this meeting is to create a place where people who either already work in the mobile field or what to get involved in mobile develop could come and work on issues with other like minded people. If your are a developer and are unsure how you can migrate your skills into the mobile space come and speak with people who have managed this transition. The group holds workshops on the different mobile environments and on APIs that are available to access data from many website.

We, newhaven.rb, are a group of people living in and around New Haven, CT brought together by shared interest in the Ruby Programming Language. We're working on creating a hackerspace in Danbury, Connecticut and are looking for interesting people to help.

Try something different, get some exercise, learn something new. If you can swim then we will teach you to snorkel and then hand you a stick so you can jump right into the action. Bring your bathing suit and let us know you are coming (we need your foot size for fins). We'll give you one on one lessons at what ever pace you are comfortable with.
